We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant who will work on the ELOquence European project that aims to study Large Language Models in Artificial Intelligence.

- Contract Type: Fixed term until 31 December 2026
- Hours: Full-time
- Salary: £36,644 to £38,638 inclusive of London Weighting, potential to progress to £39,682 per annum inclusive of London Weighting
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the project team and develop artificial intelligence technologies relevant to Large Language Models.
- Attend regular project meetings, give presentations, and interact with internal and external consortium members.
- Prepare project reports and co‑author research papers.
- Travel as required for project activities.
Qualifications
- Working towards a PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
- Substantial research experience in Artificial Intelligence with a focus on design, training, and testing of Generative Adversarial Networks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, Keras, or other machine learning toolboxes.
- Experience with Large Language Models is highly relevant.
- Demonstrated practical experience working with LLMs and evidence of actual work completed.
