Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology (BNSM) provides advanced tools for surface and materials characterization across semiconductor, materials science, life science, and industrial applications. Our portfolio includes atomic force microscopes (AFMs), nanoIR spectrometers, stylus and optical profilometers, ellipsometry and reflectometry systems, in‑situ and stand‑alone nanomechanical testers, mechanical and tribological testers, and a comprehensive suite of semiconductor research and manufacturing tools.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales target for all the Business Units
- Sales territory strategic and tactical planning and execution
- Regular reporting on status and progress to Sales Manager
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute sales growth strategies
- Acting as player, owning a direct sales territory working with sales applications team and field assistants
- Product presentations at conferences, seminars, workshops and customer sites as required
- Develop a strong understanding of competitive and funding landscape within the territory
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ability to establish collaborations with key customers
- Identify key opinion leading customers in the region and ensure maintenance of good working relationships
- Feedback to BNSM sales management on the development and execution of sales strategy
- Regular and accurate sales forecasting via CRM

Physical/Environmental Requirements
Up to 60% travel as required to support the role. Due to the territory in Southern UK, we are looking for candidates who live in Southern UK or in the Coventry area.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Positive “can do” attitude, a highly motivated self-starter
- Relishes working in a performance-driven environment
- Resourceful, proactive, meticulous
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared goals, but also equally comfortable working independently when required
- Solid understanding of surface measurement techniques, specifically Atomic Force Microscopy and Surface Metrology (stylus and non-contact optical methods)
- Competent PC skills, particularly with MS office software
- Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Materials Science or Engineering or other Scientific discipline
- Sales experience in related field desired
- Ability to grow and take additional responsibilities
- Experience of Atomic Force Microscopy desired (not essential), Surface Profiling methods (stylus and/or optical), NanoIndentation and related test equipment preferred
