Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for issuing purchase orders and managing subcontractors from demand and sourcing to delivery.
- Establishing purchase orders and tracking them until delivery.
- Gathering needs, evaluating suppliers, and preparing for negotiations, requests for quotes, and managing contracts from negotiation to completion.
- Managing ongoing procurement operations with all relevant parties: suppliers, internal customers, and interfaces.
- Handling and promoting proactive departmental tasks and intra-organizational requirements.
- Handling defective products (MRB).
- Understanding internal customer needs, defining budgets, suggesting alternatives, and assisting in selecting optimal solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve processes proactively.
- Analyzing market trends to identify potential suppliers and alternatives.
- Managing relationships with local and foreign suppliers.
- Leading cost reduction projects.
- Negotiating commercial contracts and engagements.
Qualifications
- Practical Engineer, Industrial and Management Engineer, or relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial procurement experience in a similar role.
- Assertiveness and strong commercial negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and motivation.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Experience with mechanics, electronics, and machining is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple interfaces.
- Service awareness and a high capacity for learning.
