Bruker Nano Surfaces & Metrology βBNSMβ division is the leader in X-ray metrology / inspection and other tools for the silicon and compound semiconductor industries. We have an immediate opening for a Production Integrator at the Durham site in our Operation department. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Integrator is responsible for building and calibrating tools according to the work plan, preparing tools for on-time delivery in high quality to ensure total customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should enjoy a dynamic and fast-paced business environment and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receiving the work plan and executing it
- Performing integration processes as required
- Supporting engineering projects
- Keeping logs and reporting on activities
- Tool building and routing, module assembling and calibration (both mechanical and electrical)
- Working according to procedures and processes
- Keeping continuous improvement in mind
- Performing problem troubleshooting and finding quick solutions
- Maintaining productive working relationships with R&D, PE, Planning & TS teams
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of at least one engineering aspect and an overview of others: Mechanical Assembly/engineering background, Electrical Assembly
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative, working alone as well as in a team
- Production mechanical & electronic testing / fault finding & diagnostics
- Computer controlled instrumentation, precision mechanical and electrical assembly, soldering and other electrical skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines while maintaining a methodical approach with quality in mind
- Ability to be a good team player within cross-functional teams
- Excellent computer skills
- 5 years work experience in a similar background β semiconductors/automotive/manufacturing environment
