A leading global asset manager is seeking a Director within its Sustainable Investing team. This is a senior role focused on advancing sustainable investment frameworks, embedding ESG considerations into investment processes, and acting as a subject matter expert across climate and broader sustainability themes. The role combines Sustainable Investment Implementation, strategy, product development, stakeholder engagement, and external representation.
You will work closely with investment teams to integrate sustainability considerations across asset classes, contribute to the evolution of global ESG frameworks and data capabilities, and support the development of sustainable investment solutions for institutional and intermediary clients. The role also involves engaging directly with clients and consultants, articulating the firm’s ESG approach, and representing the business in industry forums and public consultations.
Key Responsibilities- Help shape and evolve sustainable investing frameworks, policies, and supporting data capabilities
- Work closely with portfolio managers and investment teams to embed ESG considerations into day-to-day investment decision-making
- Contribute to the design, launch, and ongoing refinement of sustainable investment strategies and products
- Produce thematic research and insights on ESG and climate topics to support internal decision-making and external positioning
- Clearly communicate the firm’s sustainable investing approach to clients, consultants, and prospects
- Partner with distribution and client teams to tailor and deliver sustainability-led solutions
- Participate in industry groups, conferences, and regulatory or market consultations
- Support firmwide and product-level sustainability disclosures and reporting
- Approximately 10–15 years’ relevant experience in ESG or sustainable investing within asset management or a comparable financial services environment
- Deep subject-matter expertise across environmental, social and governance topics, including strong knowledge of climate frameworks and related regulation
- Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing sustainable investment strategies across multiple asset classes
- Credibility working alongside front-office investment teams, with the ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers
- Strong analytical capability with clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially minded, strategic thinker with a pragmatic, execution-oriented approach
