The Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to play a key role in managing legal risk, providing high-quality legal advice, and supporting compliance across the business for a leading insurance broker with a global footprint. This is a broad and commercially focused role, requiring a proactive and strategic approach to legal matters. You will advise on insurance-specific work, regulatory matters, general commercial contracts, employment issues, litigation management, and wider business initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders across the organisation and with the Compliance team. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the business strategy while ensuring the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance.
Duties:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including finance, IT, operational and supplier agreements.
- Monitor, review, and manage third-party contracts across the group.
- Review and advise on property leases for offices across multiple jurisdictions.
- Handle intellectual property matters, including trademarks, domain names, and copyright issues.
- Draft and review NDAs for broking clients.
