I'm working with a leading global reinsurance platform who are looking to appoint a Performance Management & Underwriting Governance Lead into their Underwriting Alignment function. Despite the title, this is less of a pure governance role and more of a portfolio management, performance oversight and underwriting alignment position - with governance forming part of the wider remit.
You'll work closely with senior underwriting leadership, Underwriting Alignment Leads and underwriting teams to help drive initiatives forward, manage key reporting deadlines and bring structure to portfolio performance activity across the business.
The role will include:
- Portfolio management & performance oversight - monitoring premium versus plan, supporting portfolio reporting and helping underwriting teams stay aligned to business objectives.
- Lloyd's planning exposure - supporting Syndicate Business Forecasting, business planning activity and annual underwriting framework reviews.
- Legal entity & board reporting - preparing and coordinating papers, updates and MI for senior stakeholders.
- Underwriting alignment - working closely with underwriting teams to turn portfolio initiatives into tangible progress.
- Governance interaction - partnering with the wider Underwriting Governance function on authority frameworks, referrals, file reviews and control processes.
- Senior stakeholder exposure - working across underwriting, finance, actuarial, risk, operations and governance.
This will suit someone from an underwriting performance, portfolio management, underwriting operations, governance or broader underwriting oversight background within the Lloyd's, London Market, reinsurance or commercial insurance space. The business is looking for someone who is organised, credible and delivery focused - someone who can manage deadlines, communicate clearly, build trust with stakeholders and comfortably roll their sleeves up.
For someone who enjoys the commercial rhythm of portfolio performance, but wants exposure to governance, Lloyd's planning and senior underwriting leadership, this could be a really interesting move.
