We are assisting a well-known Financial Services firm headquartered in London, seeking a Payroll & Compensation Specialist to join their Finance & HR team. Please note this role will require c4 days a week in the office.

The Role

This is a critical role sitting as a conduit between payroll, compensation strategy, and reporting. You will be responsible for managing payroll operations for their UK and international offices, supporting compensation planning, and delivering high-quality reports and insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions, in partnership with external payroll providers.
  • Support annual compensation reviews, bonus and incentive planning processes.
  • Analyse compensation trends and develop benchmarking reports using market data.
  • Produce and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports for leadership, including cost forecasting, headcount analysis, and equity compensation summaries.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR on budgeting, audit preparation, and process improvements.
  • Assist with Remco and Carry reporting.
  • Assist with the implementation and optimisation of payroll and compensation systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in payroll operations, ideally within financial services or professional services.
  • Experience in compensation analysis, including salary benchmarking and incentive plans.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with payroll systems (e.g. ADP, Workday) a strong advantage.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to handle confidential data with discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
