An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Operational Tax Manager to join a high-performing team within a leading global private markets manager. This role comes at a pivotal time of transformation, offering the chance to shape the operational tax function and enhance governance across a growing range of innovative investment products, including private wealth and evergreen funds.
The Role
As Manager, Operational Tax, you will lead the development and implementation of tax governance frameworks, with a core focus on Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) obligations such as FATCA and CRS. You will play a key role in ensuring global tax compliance across jurisdictions while helping evolve the operational tax model as part of a broader transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust AEOI governance and assurance frameworks across private wealth and evergreen fund products.
- Ensure compliance with global tax transparency regimes (FATCA, CRS) and manage associated reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with third-party advisors and administrators to deliver accurate, timely tax reporting.
- Contribute to the design of controls for US Chapter 3 withholding tax and other operational tax processes.
- Identify and implement improvements to tax data collection and reporting systems.
- Monitor regulatory developments in AEOI and evaluate implications for existing and future products.
- Support strategic projects within the operational tax team as part of an ongoing integration and transformation journey.
About You
- Strong experience in operational tax, FATCA/CRS reporting, or client due diligence, ideally within private markets, asset management, or a financial institution.
- Working knowledge of US Chapter 3 withholding tax is a strong advantage.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and can independently manage projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
