As they continue to expand our platform, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Programme Manager to drive critical front-office change initiatives that enhance decision-making, investment execution, and overall operational effectiveness.
Role Overview
The Project/Programme Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic front-office projects across investment teams, portfolio management, research, trading, and risk. This individual will partner closely with senior stakeholders to define business needs, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation across complex, multi-workstream programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of front-office projects and programmes, from initial scoping through execution, testing, and deployment.
- Work closely with portfolio managers, analysts, traders, and senior leadership to translate business priorities into clear project requirements.
- Oversee cross-functional workstreams, ensuring alignment between investment, technology, operations, and risk teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, governance structures, RAID logs, budgets, and progress reporting.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and issues, and proactively manage mitigation strategies.
- Drive process optimisation and support the rollout of new systems, tools, and analytical capabilities for investment teams.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory expectations, and operational best practices.
- Facilitate change management activities, including stakeholder communication, training, and adoption support.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years' experience delivering complex projects or programmes within asset management, hedge funds, private markets, or alternative investments.
- Strong understanding of front-office functions: portfolio management, trading workflows, investment research, and market data.
- Proven track record working with technical and non-technical teams, ideally on system implementations (e.g., OMS/PMS, analytics platforms, data transformation).
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is beneficial but not required.
