A 12-month fixed-term contract for a Solicitor to undertake a project to review a suite of third-party vendor agreements for the business on a risk-weighted basis, and to update them in accordance with the Group's regulatory obligations, particularly those arising under DORA and GDPR.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Review and update third-party vendor agreements for Group, prioritising on a risk-weighted basis, to ensure compliance with the Group's regulatory obligations (particularly DORA and GDPR).
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on interpreting and amending vendor agreements, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with the team and other stakeholders to identify key risk areas and ensure contractual documentation meets business and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft, negotiate and arrange execution of updated agreements, amendments and ancillary documentation as required.
  • Review and update relevant inter-group agreements.
  • Support the legal team with additional legal work as required, which may include general commercial, regulatory or corporate matters.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk legal issues to the Deputy General Counsel or external counsel as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of contract reviews, amendments and advice provided.

Skills and Experience:

  • UK-qualified solicitor or similar qualification.
  • At least 4 years of relevant post-qualified work experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, with exposure to third-party vendor agreements in a regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to financial services or commodities trading.
  • Experience with DORA and GDPR is advantageous for this role.
  • Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice to business stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a regulated business.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Pragmatic, commercial, reliable, self-driven and motivated.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Personable and able to build effective working relationships.
  • A team player, able to work collaboratively and independently as required.
