Our client, an exciting reinsurance organisation, is expanding its Global business in 2026 and the Cloud and Infrastructure team will need to support this growth by designing, provisioning then supporting the platforms to enable this.

We're looking for someone to Design, Build, and Operate secure, resilient Azure cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on networking, deployment automation, and adherence to enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Azure
  • Networking

Architecture: Develop and maintain virtual networks, routing, firewalls, private endpoints, load balancers, and API Gateways.

Produce and review low?level designs (LLDs) for new and existing services.

  • Deployment & Automation: Deliver repeatable, compliant infrastructure using Terraform, Azure Dev Ops pipelines, and Git-based workflows.

Support blue/green and canary deployment patterns.

  • Connectivity

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network and service?to?service connectivity issues across Iaa S, Paa S, and hybrid environments using tools such as Network Watcher, NSG flow logs, packet capture, and log analytics.

  • Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce Azure security best practices including identity and access management, network segmentation, encryption, policy governance, and threat protection.

Ensure solutions align with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Operational

Excellence: Monitor, optimise, and support cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with architects, developers, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Produce clear technical documentation, including LLDs, runbooks, and standards to be handed over to the BAU Support teams.

About You

  • Core Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Lloyd's market/specialty insurance
  • Strong expertise in Azure networking (VNets, routing, firewalls, private links, load balancing).
  • Proven experience producing low-level designs and implementing enterprise-grade architectures.
  • Hands-on proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployments. (Ideally Terraform and Azure Dev Ops)
  • Deep troubleshooting capability for network and connectivity issues across cloud environments.
  • Understanding of building, deploying and managing API Gateways
  • Strong understanding of Azure security controls, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and diagnostic tooling.
  • Solid scripting skills (Power Shell, Bash, or Python).
