I'm working with a leading financial markets infrastructure organisation to appoint a Head of Risk Governance, a senior leadership role with direct exposure to the Chief Risk Officer and Board. This is a high-impact position focused on shaping and embedding a robust enterprise risk management framework across a complex, regulated environment. You'll lead risk governance, reporting and coordination activities, ensuring risks are effectively identified, managed and communicated in line with regulatory expectations and risk appetite.
As a senior leader within the second line of defence, you will play a key role in driving consistency, improving reporting quality and supporting the ongoing maturity of the risk function.
Key responsibilities:- Own and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including risk appetite, policies and taxonomy
- Lead risk reporting and MI, delivering clear, forward-looking insights to executive and Board forums
- Design and oversee governance structures, including committees, escalation frameworks and decision-making processes
- Manage end-to-end governance activities, including papers, minutes and action tracking
- Act as an operational lead across the risk function, aligning priorities and driving delivery against strategy
The business are looking for an experienced enterprise risk professional with strong financial markets experience and a proven track record operating within a second line of defence. You'll bring credibility with senior stakeholders and regulators, alongside the ability to translate complex risk issues into clear, actionable insight.
