Want to own a benefits programme in an international business that’s growing fast?

Our client is a large financial services group that has grown quickly, mostly through acquisitions. They need a Benefits Manager to take charge of employee benefits across the group. You’ll report to the Group Head of Reward and have real influence over how the offering develops.

The role

You’ll set the group’s benefits strategy and policy and design offerings that work internationally and in each country. You’ll keep the package current, competitive and something employees actually use.

There’s a lot of hands‑on work too. Each acquisition brings new schemes, and you’ll be the one who reviews them, simplifies them and moves them onto the group standard. You’ll negotiate with providers on fees and terms. You’ll keep policies, guides and manager materials accurate so cover terms are clear. Each year you’ll run the benefits window with the portal provider and push for high engagement. Two HR Operations team members will escalate to you.

You’ll also promote the benefits across the business and give hiring teams materials to help them attract talent. You’ll work closely with Reward, HR Business Partners, Finance, Procurement and external providers.

You’ll need:

  • Experience running a benefits programme in a complex, multi‑entity business
  • A track record of building or improving benefits operations (system implementation experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to use data to drive decisions
  • The confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A hands‑on approach and comfort working without a fixed blueprint

Why it’s worth a look

The scope is big and you’ll own it. The business is still maturing, so you’ll be building and improving the function rather than just maintaining it. Regular M&A activity means the work won’t stand still.
