A leading bank in London is hiring an AVP Internal Auditor to join focussing on Operational Resilience, business continuity, and crisis management. This is a chance to provide independent assurance over the controls that underpin the bank's ability to respond to and recover from disruptive events, working across Technology, Risk, and Business Continuity teams on audits that genuinely impact how the organisation operates.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and supporting audits across the resilience domain, covering business continuity, disaster recovery, incident response, and operational resilience frameworks
  • Assessing the design and operating effectiveness of risk management and control frameworks, identifying gaps and recommending improvements
  • Applying data analytics to sharpen audit coverage and insight
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, and Business Continuity
  • Communicating audit findings clearly and constructively to senior stakeholders

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in internal audit, risk management, or resilience within financial services
  • Solid understanding of operational resilience, business continuity, and IT disaster recovery principles
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations such as PRA SS1/21 and DORA
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment

Nice to have:

  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CBCI, or equivalent
  • Experience with data analytics or audit automation tools
