A well established corporate and investment bank is hiring a VP Internal Auditor to join its EMEA Internal Audit function, focused on Financial Crime and Compliance. This would be joining a new team of Financial Crime and Compliance specialist auditors. You would lead a team of Auditors and own the delivery of your audits end to end, from planning and scoping through to fieldwork, findings and reporting, while also contributing to larger cross jurisdictional theme audits.
The role works very closely with senior stakeholders so you must be happy being visible across the bank. You would build relationships with Central Compliance and Financial Crime management, and the progression path here is good as the IA team are not top-heavy. They also encourage mobility within the business if that is something you are interested in.
What they are looking for:
- Financial crime, trade surveillance and compliance Internal Audit coverage in banking
- Good working knowledge of UK and EMEA financial crime regulation, covering areas like AML, CFT, sanctions and transaction monitoring
- A professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA or ACA, ideally alongside a financial crime cert like the ICA Diploma, ACAMS or CISI
- Someone confident articulating findings and holding their own with senior stakeholders
