A leading UK bank is looking to hire an Internal Audit AVP to join its Corporate Banking Internal Audit team in London. This is a key role where you will lead end to end audits, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide clear, independent assurance across lending, credit processes, payments, trade finance and wider corporate banking activities. You will be part of a collaborative audit function that places a strong emphasis on quality, learning and continuous improvement. The culture is supportive, people focused and provides genuine scope to grow. AVPs are given visibility, stretch opportunities and a clear path into broader leadership roles.

What you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in risk based auditing or risk and control within Corporate Banking.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, CIA, ACCA or CISA.
  • Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver audits to a high standard.
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders and a track record of strong performance.
  • Knowledge of trade finance, working capital, digital channels, liquidity products or payments, as well as exposure to emerging banking products is helpful.
  • Experience coaching or guiding others on audit assignments is valued.

You will be assessed on core strengths such as risk and control capability, business acumen, change mindset and digital awareness, alongside the technical elements of the role.
