An established and fast‑growing financial services business is looking to appoint a high‑calibre FP&A Analyst to join its central finance team. This is a high‑visibility role supporting senior finance leadership and playing a key part in delivering insight, analysis and robust financial reporting to executive and board level stakeholders.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be a key contributor within the central FP&A function, supporting shared services and core business areas. You will own critical elements of the month‑end and reporting timetable, contribute to forecasting and budgeting, and provide meaningful insight that supports strategic and operational decision‑making. The role offers strong exposure to the CFO, Head of Finance and senior business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate the month‑end reporting cycle, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Produce high‑quality management information for Executive Committee and Board reporting.
  • Partner with senior finance stakeholders to analyse performance, track trends and assess initiatives across multiple business areas.
  • Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, including variance analysis and scenario comparisons.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, with a focus on automation, efficiency and control enhancement.
  • Deliver ad‑hoc analysis, financial modelling and project support as required.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the commercial drivers behind the numbers, challenging assumptions and adding insight.
  • Operate with a strong understanding of the regulatory environment relevant to financial services.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies, external regulations and FCA principles.

Skills Required

  • Part‑qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with clear intent to complete qualification.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Proactive, curious and confident in questioning data and assumptions.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
  • Previous experience within financial services is required; exposure to asset or wealth management is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with finance systems and analytics tools (e.g. SAP, Power BI or similar) is desirable.
