Financial Reporting Associate

I\’m currently working with a leading Investment bank with a strong presence across key global financial hubs. Their London finance team is expanding and seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to support their operations across multiple regions

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant or someone early in their post-qualification career to gain significant exposure to a range of financial reporting activities across different jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end close processes for international branches including journal postings, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Preparing statutory accounts and regulatory reports for overseas entities
• Ensuring integrity of the general ledger and compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Supporting audit processes and working closely with external advisors and internal stakeholders
• Preparing insightful variance analysis and financial commentary
• Assisting with branch restructuring activities, including the wind-down of operations and balance transfers
• Supporting ad hoc finance projects and initiatives across the wider team

Ideal background:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent), or at final stages of qualification
• Strong accounting fundamentals with hands-on experience in month-end and reporting processes
• Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage deadlines and collaborate across teams

This role would suit someone coming from external audit (with banking clients) or someone with early Banking experience looking to take the next step in a internationally focused environment.
