Distribution Specialist – Lloyd’s Market
📍 London | Hybrid (3 days office based)
A rare opportunity has arisen to join a high-performing Lloyd’s Syndicate in a newly created Distribution role – reporting directly to the Head of Distribution.
This is not a “numbers on the board” role. Instead, it’s about building the foundations of a distribution function: mapping out broker relationships, strengthening weak ties, coordinating with underwriters, and ensuring opportunities are seen through to completion rather than left behind.
You’ll act as the “glue” between brokers, underwriters and senior stakeholders – helping shape how the business goes to market, and over time, taking ownership of sourcing and converting new opportunities aligned with strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Mapping existing broker relationships (UK & US) – creating a clear, structured directory.
- Coordinating with underwriters to keep opportunities moving, removing roadblocks and finishing deals.
- Supporting the Head of Distribution, while having autonomy to make the function your own.
- Partnering with digital and data/analytics teams to create meaningful insights for underwriters.
- Strengthening broker coverage at both transactional and strategic levels.
What we’re looking for:
- Background in distribution, underwriting, broking or business development (insurance knowledge helpful, but not essential if you’re credible with underwriters and brokers).
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Outgoing, inquisitive and resilient – someone hungry to build their own market reputation.
- Comfortable leveraging data, creating structure and seeing opportunities through to completion.
Why this role?
- Autonomy to shape a growing function in one of the market’s most ambitious and forward-looking platforms.
- High visibility: direct reporting line to the Head of Distribution and regular interaction with underwriting leadership.
- Competitive package with strong upside on bonus.
- Long-term international exposure (US and wider) as the role develops.
