Our client, a leading UK Financial Services Provider, is seeking a Commercial Lawyer for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. The role will deal with commercial contracts including drafting and negotiation of agreements and documents with third party vendors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the firm's Contract Lawyer, be the key point of contact to provide advice to the business.
  • Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Advise on new service agreements.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial legal agreements: templates, contracts, side letters, non-disclosure, consulting, service, agency and distribution agreements, IT contracts, outsourcing agreements, general terms and conditions, data protection, IP and commercial due diligence including SaaS.
  • Review and negotiate supplier and customer contracts.
  • Advise management to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure consistency of contract terms with company policies and strategy.
  • Ongoing monitoring of best practices to enhance contracts review processes.

This is a conduct Rules role under the SMCR regime.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified lawyer.
  • Broad experience of Commercial Contracts and third party agreements.
  • Experience of tenders and supply chain management.
  • Financial Services experience a plus.

Note: the firm has a flexible working policy of 50% in the office.
