My client, a leading global Reinsurer, are looking to hire a Treasury & Expense Accountant to join the Finance function of their Life Business. This is an exciting role, offering the opportunity to shape the expense, banking, and financial operations of the business.

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days in office per week)

Industry: Insurance

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of expense management, banking operations, planning, budgeting, and financial operations across multiple UK legal entities, ensuring accurate, consistent, and well-governed financial processes.
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to senior leadership by providing clear financial analysis, insight, and constructive challenge to support decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process enhancement and automation, maintaining up-to-date documentation, controls, and policy frameworks.
  • Oversee end-to-end expense processes, including annual planning, management and Board reporting, intercompany recharges, and shared-service cost allocations.
  • Manage liquidity and treasury operations, including bank reconciliations, payroll funding, banking transactions, and employee expense programmes.

Preferred background:

  • Newly Qualified or Part-Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience of expense forecasting and cost-allocation methodologies.
  • Experience in Treasury Operations and Purchase ledger management.
  • Experience within an Insurance or Financial Services business.
