My client, a successful Lloyds Insurance syndicate, are looking to hire a partly/newly qualified accountant to join their Financial Reporting team. This role will support the team on monthly US GAAP reporting, annual UK GAAP financial statements, ledger close, balance sheet reconciliations, and a range of other tasks, including contributing to the continuous development of processes.
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office per week)

Role Responsibilities:
- Support monthly financial close through balance sheet reconciliations (bank, prepayments, accruals, intercompany) and preparation of lead schedules.
- Assist with key operational and regulatory processes including Faster Claims Payment system reconciliations, broker/coverholder/DCA reviews, quarterly VAT returns, and quota share accounting.
- Contribute to year end activities such as statutory accounts production, audit preparation, and maintaining strong relationships with external advisors.
- Help develop and update accounting policies, procedures, and documentation while participating in ongoing finance projects.
- Other ad hoc finance tasks as required.
Preferred background:
- Newly or Partly Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience or strong knowledge of the Insurance industry.
- Strong technology and systems skills (Microsoft Office & Workday).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
