Help Create an Inclusive Student Experience
Rose Bruford College is seeking a Disability & Inclusion Advisor to join our Student Life team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and student‑focused professional to play a key role in promoting accessibility, inclusion and student success across the College. Working within Student Life, you will lead on disability support, reasonable adjustments, Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) processes and support for students with specific learning differences, neurodivergent profiles, long‑term health conditions and disabilities. You will work closely with students, academic departments and professional services colleagues to ensure students are able to access and fully participate in all aspects of College life.
About the Role
The Disability & Inclusion Advisor acts as the College's primary adviser for disability support and inclusive practice. The role involves assessing support needs, coordinating Individual Learning Plans and Reasonable Adjustment Agreements, supporting students through the DSA process and helping to embed accessibility across learning, teaching and assessment. You will also contribute to wider initiatives that promote belonging, student engagement and inclusive learning environments, helping students thrive throughout their time at Rose Bruford College.
About You
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or long‑term health conditions.
- Experience developing and implementing support plans and reasonable adjustments.
- Experience supporting students through the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) process.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and student success.
Experience within higher education, supporting dyslexia or specific learning difference assessments, and delivering training or awareness‑raising activities would be advantageous.
