Rose Bruford College is seeking a Technology Support Officer to join our Student Records team. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines first-line technology support with opportunities to develop experience in digital learning technologies, data quality, reporting and process improvement.
Technology support is at the heart of the role. You'll help colleagues with day-to-day technology issues, coordinate support requests and work closely with our external IT provider to ensure services run smoothly across the College. You'll enjoy investigating problems, finding solutions and delivering a professional, customer-focused service.
Alongside this, you'll gain exposure to areas including Power BI, advanced Excel, data quality, reporting, databases, T-SQL, digital learning technologies and automation. We will provide training and support for the right person. What matters most is your curiosity, willingness to learn and commitment to delivering excellent support.

Don't worry if you haven't worked with all of these before. We're keen to hear from candidates with the right attitude, aptitude and customer-focused approach. We can teach systems and technical skills; curiosity, communication and a willingness to learn are harder to train.
What You'll Be Doing
As Technology Support Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting and improving the College's technology and digital services, including:
- Providing first-line technology support for staff.
- Coordinating support requests and working with our external IT provider to resolve issues.
- Supporting the effective use of digital platforms and learning technologies.
- Producing guidance, documentation and user support materials.
- Supporting data quality, reporting and administrative processes.
- Assisting with technology deployments and shared technology resources.
- Contributing to service improvements, automation and digital transformation initiatives.
