Here at Bruce’s we are looking for either a Full time (40 hours a week) or two part time carers (20 hours a week) to join us at our Cobham centre!

About us

Founded in 2008, we have become the UK’s recognised leader in Doggy Day Care and are fluent in dog. Our purpose at Bruce’s is to unleash happiness and enrich the lives of more dogs and their families and we achieve this through our values P.A.W.S (Pawsitivity, All fur one, Wag for it and Sniff out the new stuff). We believe that Paw-sitivity rocks! When it comes to our team, our dogs and our customers we’re caring and All fur one. We work hard, are passionate and Wag for it because we love what we do. And, like our doggy friends, we’re forever curious to Sniff out new stuff.

Our values help guide how we behave, remind us what’s important to ourselves, to dogs and their families and what fires us up as a pack.

Being a Carer

Passion for dogs is at the core of what we do. Our Carers are a key part of our mission and pour their hearts into their work, delivering not just a service but an experience. Spending their days in the field not just as supervisors but as companions and caring for their wellbeing. Our carers are naturally curious about the world of dogs and this drives them to continually learn and adapt, ensuring no two days are the same!

As a carer you will be:

  • Bringing your curiosity and creativity to life by collaborating with colleagues to deliver our weekly enrichment routines in line with our enrichment calendar.
  • Uploading photos taken of our four legged friends to our CRM system and tagging individual dogs for our customers to see what they get up to at Bruce’s.
  • Providing a positive environment which leads to happy dogs and creates an atmosphere where we can unleash happiness.
  • Keeping a watchful eye on behaviour, turning potential conflict into opportunities for positive interactions, also providing suggestions and ensuring behaviour management plans are followed.
  • Being a helping hand when it comes to bathing, washing and towelling dogs prior to drop off.
  • Setting up enriching environments and ensuring they are safely closed down at the end of the day.
  • Caring for the equipment, fields and site and keeping them maintained, safe and clean (this also includes cleaning up after the dogs).

About you

You will be a reliable and trustworthy individual and you will be as confident with customers as you are with canines, handling queries and talking dog behaviour with ease. You are someone who embraces a challenge and works under time pressure with a can-do mindset and enthusiasm. Giving 100 percent in everything you do all while radiating positivity, you are someone who is happy to work outdoors in all weathers (this is a must- come rain, shine, snow and all!).
