About us
Founded in 2008, we have become the UK’s recognised leader in Doggy Day Care and are fluent in dog. Our purpose at Bruce’s is to unleash happiness and enrich the lives of more dogs and their families. We achieve this through our values P.A.W.S (Pawsitivity, All fur one, Wag for it and Sniff out the new stuff).
What You'll Be Doing
The role of a Carer Cover driver is to spend time in the field with the dogs, not just as supervisors but as companions and caring for their wellbeing. Providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs, ensuring they are engaged, happy and safe. Our carers are naturally curious about the world of dogs and this drives them to continually learn and adapt, ensuring no two days are the same! Our Carer Cover drivers step in to cover routes when our regular drivers aren't able to (it can be at short notice or planned leave). But you're not just a Carer Cover driver; you're a doggy advocate, a safety guardian, and a customer service superstar rolled into one.
- Transporting dogs to and from Daycare in our Bruce’s Doggy Buses and ensuring the safety of every precious passenger onboard.
- Bringing your curiosity and creativity to life by collaborating with colleagues to deliver our weekly enrichment routines in line with our enrichment calendar.
- Being responsible for caring for the equipment, fields and site and keeping them maintained, safe and clean (this also includes cleaning up after the dogs).
- Knowing our four‑legged friends like the back of your paw, checking their notes and sharing updates with customers.
- Keeping our doggy buses in top‑notch condition, ready to hit the road and deliver exceptional experiences.
- Following customers’ instructions for pick‑up and drop‑off, e.g. lunches, where to leave the dog if the owner is not in, securing property.
- Uploading photos taken of our four‑legged friends to our CRM system and tagging individual dogs so customers can see what they get up to at Bruce’s.
- Providing a positive environment which leads to happy dogs and creates an atmosphere where we can unleash happiness.
- Keeping a watchful eye on behaviour, turning potential conflict into opportunities for positive interactions and managing behaviour management plans while looking after the dogs in the fields.
- Being a helping hand when it comes to bathing, washing and towel‑ing dogs prior to drop‑off.
