Are you ready to dive into a world where wagging tails, wet noses, and boundless enthusiasm are your daily companions? Here at Bruce’s we are looking for a Full time Cover Driver at our Country Hills Centre.
Founded in 2008, we have become the UK’s recognised leader in Doggy Day Care and are fluent in dog. Our purpose at Bruce’s is to unleash happiness and enrich the lives of more dogs and their families through our values P.A.W.S (Pawsitivity, All fur one, Wag for it and Sniff out the new stuff).
The role of a cover driver is to step in to cover routes when our regular drivers aren’t able to (it can be either at short notice or planned leave). But you’re not just a driver; you’re a doggy advocate, a safety guardian, and a customer service superstar rolled into one. You will be transporting dogs to and from Daycare in our Bruce’s Doggy Buses and ensuring the safety of every precious passenger onboard.
- Bringing your curiosity and creativity to life by collaborating with colleagues to deliver our weekly enrichment routines in line with our enrichment calendar.
- Caring for the equipment, fields and site and keeping them maintained, safe and clean (this also includes cleaning up after the dogs).
- Knowing our four-legged friends like the back of your paw, checking their notes and sharing updates with customers.
- Keeping our doggy buses in top-notch condition, ready to hit the road and deliver exceptional experiences.
- Following customers instructions for pick up and drop off, e.g. lunches, where to leave the dog if the owner is not in, securing property.
- Uploading photos taken of our four-legged friends to our CRM system and tagging individual dogs for our customers to see what they get up to at Bruce’s.
- Providing a positive environment which leads to happy dogs and creates an atmosphere where we can unleash happiness.
- Keeping a watchful eye on behaviour, turning potential conflict into opportunities for positive interactions and managing behaviour management plans.
- Being a helping hand when it comes to bathing, washing and towelling dogs prior to drop off.
Please note that you may be required to use public transport to a colleague’s location to collect the vehicle and keys before starting your route.
You will be 21 years old or over due to insurance purposes and be a reliable and trustworthy individual with a Full UK licence with at least 2 years driving experience. Live in or close to Central London. Ideally have a current DBS (or happy to have a DBS check). As you will be the face of Bruce’s for 50% of our customers, you will be as excellent with customers as you are with canines, handling queries and talking dog behaviour with ease.
You are someone who embraces an opportunity and works under time pressure with a can-do mindset and enthusiasm. Giving 100 pawcent in everything you do all while radiating positivity, you are someone who is happy to work outdoors in all weathers (this is a must- come rain, shine, snow and all!).
Benefits include being part of a multi award winning company who are the industry leaders in doggy daycare. Your furry companion can join you at work – we offer FREE dog day-care at Bruce's (as long as it’s a paw-sitive fit). Our dog experts will show you the ropes and keep you in-the-know as well as sniffing out the new with ongoing personal development. LifeWorks membership and Bravo Benefits platform access for unbeatable employee perks. Wagestream membership which is a financial wellness platform allowing you to access your earned pay sooner, track your earnings, and access financial education resources. Your hard work won’t go unnoticed – expect rewards and recognition and our annual people celebration day!
