We are looking for experienced Painter & Decorators to work on refurbishment and fit‑out projects across student accommodation and NHS environments. Projects will include both occupied and live site settings, requiring a clean, professional, and high‑quality finish at all times. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of internal painting and decorating works to a high standard, working efficiently while maintaining site safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal painting and decorating across refurbishment projects
- Surface preparation including sanding, filling, and priming
- Emulsion, gloss, and finishing works
- Wall and ceiling painting in occupied and live environments
- Wallpaper hanging and feature wall finishes where required
- Touch‑up and snagging works to high standards
- Ensuring clean, tidy, and safe working areas at all times
- Working to drawings, specifications, and site requirements
- Liaising with site teams to meet programme deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator on construction/refurbishment projects
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Ability to deliver high‑quality finishes with attention to detail
- Experience working in occupied/live environments
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience on NHS, education, or student accommodation projects
- NVQ or City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating
- Own tools and transport
- DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo checks if required)
