Post Ref: T132 – Modernisation Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Modernisations Assistant to work within our Capital works department. This will involve supporting two Modernisations officers and the Modernisations manager in the day to day running of Capital works within Broxtowe Borough Council. You will answer queries from residents and contractors along with booking appointments and managing invoicing and payments.

Responsibilities

  • Work with members of the public in a customer focused environment.
  • Process data and demonstrate strong organisational skills.
  • Work independently on tasks and in a team environment.
  • Answer phone calls and queries, taking notes as required.
  • Identify information needs and communicate effectively.
  • Use computerised software systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Manage/handle payments and invoices.
  • Support two Modernisations officers and the Modernisations manager in daily capital works activities.

Qualifications / Ideal candidate

  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain clear and concise records.
  • Good time management.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Good customer care skills.

The post holder will be required to work from our offices in Beeston a minimum of 2 days per week plus more when required.
