Salary: Up to £34,806 per annum (pay award of 3.3% pending). Full time 37 hours per week.

We are currently looking to recruit to Senior Housing Officer; the successful candidate will work within the wider Housing Operations Team. You will be responsible in supporting the team of Housing Officers; where you will take the lead on ASB cases liaising with legal services, partner agencies preparing and gathering evidence and attending Court as appropriate. You will also be responsible in supporting the Tenancy Sustainment Officers to effectively deliver and improve the Tenancy Sustainment service. This will involve carrying out reactive visits to support Officers or respond to urgent tenancy matters throughout the Borough, this will require you to have access to your own transport as these visits will be at short notice and of an urgent nature.
Day to day, you will oversee a team of 2 Tenancy Sustainment Officers and 2 Housing Assistants. You will work closely with the Tenancy Services Manager to develop and deliver high quality housing services and improve our neighbourhoods.
You will work closely with the Tenancy Services Manager to ensure that the team achieves its performance targets in relation to tenancy management and anti-social behaviour.
We’re looking for an individual who has proven experience of:
- Working within a housing management setting
- Working with vulnerable people and providing high quality customer service
- Good knowledge of the legislation pertaining to housing management including Anti-social Behaviour and Tenancy Sustainment
- Experience of leading on Antisocial behaviour cases,
- Building effective partnerships and working closely with other teams
The ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to lead and motivate a wider team
- Excellent communication skills and able to communicate well with a variety of different groups
- A strong performance management focus
- Someone who will represent our values and behavioursAccess to own transport
