The ICT Department is responsible for providing a wide range of high‑quality ICT services to the council’s end users. In this role you will be part of a small, friendly team that handles day‑to‑day support and maintenance of the council’s ICT systems, looking after PCs, laptops, printers, file servers, telephony systems, network infrastructure and software applications.
Qualifications
You will need a broad range of technical knowledge with the ability to install and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software, and a basic understanding of networking. Key skills and experience include:
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software systems, including Windows 11, Server 2022‑2025, Microsoft M365 Suite (Exchange, Entra, Defender, Teams), on‑premises Active Directory and SQL Database management.
- Experience with VMware Virtualisation Platform and network infrastructure.
- Customer‑focused approach with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
