Based at the Council Offices in Beeston, the ICT Department is responsible for the provision of a wide range of high-quality ICT services to the council's end users. This is a crucial role where you will be part of a small and friendly team responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of the Council's ICT systems looking after PCs, laptops, printers, file servers, telephony systems, network infrastructure and software applications.
You will need a broad range of technical knowledge with the ability to install and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware, software and have a basic understanding of networking. You will have a customer focused approach with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
To be successful you will need an excellent knowledge of Microsoft software systems (including but not limited to: Windows 11, Server 2022 -2025, Administration of the Microsoft M365 Suite including Exchange, Entra, Defender and Teams, also On-premises Active Directory, SQL Database management, VMware Virtualization Platform, Networking experience, amongst other technologies) and the ability to form working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and partners.
