This is an exciting opportunity for an established supervisor, team leader or grounds maintenance professional to take a leading role in delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across the borough. As Senior Team Leader, you will provide operational leadership to frontline teams responsible for maintaining the Council's parks, sports pitches, cemeteries, open spaces, landscaped areas and other green assets. You will ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while supporting continuous improvement and excellent customer service. Working closely with managers and operational staff, you will help plan and oversee maintenance programmes, undertake quality inspections, monitor performance and support the development of the workforce. The role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to the appearance and quality of Broxtowe's parks and green spaces. We are looking for someone with experience of:

  • Leading, motivating and developing operational teams
  • Grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture or parks services
  • Planning and organising work programmes to meet service standards
  • Undertaking inspections and maintaining quality standards
  • Delivering customer-focused services and working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders Have substantial practical experience within grounds maintenance, horticulture or a related environment
  • Possess strong leadership and people management skills
  • Be confident making decisions and solving operational issues
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality public spaces
  • Be committed to continuous improvement and excellent customer service
  • Hold a full current driving licence
