Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit a Housing Options Triage Officer to help deliver and improve its Housing Options service. As a Housing Options Triage Officer, your role will include daily contact with customers that require housing advice, are homeless or threatened with homelessness. The purpose of the role is to provide an effective triage service for the Housing Options Team, dealing with customers and partner agency enquiries on a day-to-day basis and providing support to the Housing Options and Temporary Accommodation Officers.
Your role will be to assess customers' housing situations at first point of contact in accordance with the Council's statutory duties. You will then be expected to undertake initial enquiries to establish whether a customer is eligible and homeless or threatened with homelessness in accordance with the relevant legislation and guidance.
