Job Summary
As an Operations Officer/Lifeguard you will support the community at our leisure centres, ensuring safe, clean facilities and excellent customer service. You will work within a vibrant team, managing operational tasks and providing high‑quality service to users.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the leisure facilities, ensuring safety, cleanliness and compliance with regulations.
- Assist customers with queries and provide advice in fluent English.
- Coordinate the setup and dismantling of heavy equipment using safe manual handling procedures.
- Conduct routine patrols, monitor safety hazards, and respond appropriately to incidents.
- Participate in regular competency and swim tests to maintain lifeguard credentials.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Holder of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- Resilient, reliable, and conscientious with a friendly and effective manner.
- Excellent customer care skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Fluent English, with good communication skills.
- Capable of remaining calm under pressure and well‑organised.
- Willing to undergo DBS check and comply with safeguarding policies.
