Responsibilities
- Work at the heart of the local community, supporting all neighbourhoods.
- Act as an ambassador for the Council, identify and respond to customer needs.
- Provide support to ensure matters are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Deal with a wide range of activities, including evidence gathering, responding to customer concerns, and taking action to improve residents’ quality of life and the environment.
- Undertake property checks and inspections at various locations within the Borough.
- Deliver documents and carry out low-level enforcement.
Qualifications
- Full, valid driving licence.
- GCSE level C/4 or above, or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths.
- Confident use of remote devices such as tablets.
- Flexible problem-solver, fully committed to customer care.
- Ability to deal with the public diplomatically in difficult situations.
- Prepared to keep up with new legislation and to work evenings and weekends.
- Good local geographical knowledge an advantage.
- Fluent in spoken English and able to converse comfortably with members of the public.
