Brown's Tree Solutions are looking for an experienced Groundsman to join our team. We need someone who knows the industry, works hard, and takes pride in doing their job properly. A good groundie is the backbone of every job — it’s not all glory for the climbers! Without a solid ground crew, nothing runs smoothly, and we’re looking for someone who understands that and brings a great attitude to the site every day. We’re a family-run business with a tight-knit, friendly team, and we’re looking for the right person to come in, muck in, and become part of it.
What the role involves
- Small Tree Pruning, Hedge Trimming & Stump Grinding
- Processing & Dealing with Waste from Works
- Dragging brash and timber, Snedding branches
- Feeding the chipper
- Fueling Saws and Maintaining Equipment
- Ground Operations & Supporting Other Climbers
- Operating a Range of Machinery and Equipment
- Small & Large Tree Pruning & Reductions
- Hedge Trimming & Reductions
- Large Tree Removals & Sectional Dismantles with Rigging Experience
What We Need from You
- ARB / Tree Surgery Experience is Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence is Essential
- Physically Able to Deal with a Variety Site Works
- Be a Reliable & Hard-Working Team Player, with a Good Attitude
Tree surgery is a tough and very physical job so we’re looking for someone who has already worked in the industry and understands what the job involves.
Ideally you’ll have
- Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting (CS30)
- Felling & Processing Trees up to 380mm (CS31)

The Details
- Yard based in Great Brickhill, Milton Keynes – 7AM start, Monday to Friday
- Travel with the team to a variety of job sites (local and further afield)
- Annual salary ranging from £25,000-£45,000+, depending on experience and qualifications
- Overtime paid and available
- Additional pay for Saturdays
