We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jeweller with expertise in goldsmithing and stone setting to establish and lead our in-house jewellery repair service at our London Service Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to build and manage a new jewellery servicing operation while working closely with our network of boutiques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the in-house jewellery repair service.
- Liaise with our boutiques to assess and service jewellery pieces, including sizing and stone setting.
- Perform high-quality repairs and restorations on fine jewellery crafted from gold and platinum.
- Conduct quality checks on repair and engraving work completed by third-party jewellers before returning items to boutiques.
- Restore jewellery, including ring resizing, chain lengthening, cleaning, polishing, refinishing, pen plating and rhodium plating.
- Restring pearls to maintain quality and aesthetic standards.
- Provide professional assessments on jewellery conditions and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Communicate with boutiques regarding repair timelines, pricing and service updates.
- Ensure all work meets the highest craftsmanship and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Jeweller / Goldsmith with strong technical and repair skills.
- Expertise in stone setting techniques (prong, bezel, channel, pavé, tube).
- Ability to assess, repair and restore fine jewellery.
- Strong knowledge of precious metals, gemstones and contemporary jewellery trends.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, precision and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for liaising with boutiques and third-party jewellers.
- Ability to work independently, manage workflow and ensure timely completion of jewellery servicing.
- Experience working with customers and providing expert advice is an advantage.
