Your key responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily housekeeping operations, room assignments, and team workflow.
- Monitor and update room status (Clean, Dirty, Inspected, Out of Service) to ensure rooms are ready prior to guest check-in.
- Liaise with Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping Supervisors, and Porters to coordinate room readiness, monitor and action guest room preferences, and follow up on Opera Cloud and Know-cross tasks to ensure rooms are prepared to brand standards and available on time.
- Handle guest requests, maintenance work orders, and lost-and-found records.
- Maintain housekeeping records, reports, inventories, staff schedules, and payroll administration.
- Monitor housekeeping staff productivity, as well as linen, amenities, and housekeeping supply stock levels.
- Respond to guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution or escalation where required.
- Ensure compliance with hotel health, safety, and hygiene standards, and support adherence to departmental procedures.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of housekeeping team members.
- Conduct room inspections only when required to provide operational support during staff sickness or absence, ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with hotel, LQA (Leading Quality Assurance), and Forbes Travel Guide standards.
