Brown Brothers in Kirkconnel are currently looking for a Domestic Hygiene Operative. The hours of work are 10.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday. The rate of pay is £12.60 per hour (over 18).
Previous experience is not required as successful candidates will receive full training.
Job Purpose
To ensure the fabric of the building is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
Key Accountabilities:
- To ensure the high risk / low risk / despatch changing areas, front reception, canteens, toilets, offices and corridors are kept hygienically clean on an ongoing basis.
- Cleaning of the engineering and drivers’ areas.
- To carry out deep cleans in all areas as required.
- Maintaining stocks of laundry and PPE for staff use.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is kept clean and stored in the correct manner.
- Hoover office corridors and clean glass doors.
- Empty bins in the offices and canteen areas.
- Ensure the canteen is kept clean and tidy, brush and wash floors, and wipe down tables etc.
- Preparation of some lunches for managers and visitors as required.
- Cover staff holidays as required.
- Strictly follow clean as you go procedures.
- Staff shop cleaning.
- Perform any other cleaning duties as required.
