We're looking for an experienced Civils Quality Inspector / Clerk of Works to join the delivery team on a major infrastructure project. This is a hands-on quality role within a fast-paced, self-delivery environment.

The Role

  • Provide independent inspection and assurance of civil engineering and reinforced concrete works, including:
    • Inspection of reinforcement, formwork and concrete works prior to pours
    • Monitoring construction against drawings, specifications and Works Information
    • Completing and signing off ITPs, ITRs and inspection records
    • Witnessing hold points and coordinating inspections
    • Identifying defects, snags and non-conforming works
    • Monitoring corrective actions through to close-out
    • Checking embedded items, cast-ins and dimensional requirements
    • Maintaining accurate photographic and quality records
    • Liaising with Engineers, Supervisors, Quality and Construction teams
    • Supporting final inspections and handover documentation

You'll Need

  • Strong civil engineering / highways / reinforced concrete construction experience
  • Previous Quality Inspector, Highways Clerk of Works, Engineer or Supervisor experience
  • Excellent understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of QA, ITP and inspection processes
  • Confidence challenging workmanship where standards aren't being achieved

Project working hours are 11 per day across a 11 day on 3 day off rotation and competitive overtime rates for weekend working.
