We’re looking for a Credit Controller to join a team responsible for the prompt collection of overdue debts, helping to improve cash flow and restrict the firm’s exposure to bad debts.
The role involves being a key member of the Credit Control team, playing an important part in managing the firm’s financial health by recovering outstanding debts efficiently and professionally. Based in our Nottingham office and reporting to the Credit Control Team Leader, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the firm to maintain accurate records, resolve client queries and uphold positive relationships - all while keeping collections firmly on track.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Chase overdue debt using a range of methods in line with the firm’s chasing procedures, obtaining promises to pay and following up where those promises are not fulfilled.
- Maintain accurate records of client data and all collections activity using the practice management system, and assist in the production, distribution and logging of client statements and credit control chase letters.
- Liaise with legal teams to resolve client queries in a timely manner, handling team telephone calls and managing joint email correspondence professionally.
