We are hiring! Browne Jacobson are currently in the market for an Associate to join our Social Care team in Nottingham. The role is as part of a team of high performing public sector social care lawyers dealing with the wide ranging legal needs of our primarily Local Authority clients.
Are you the right candidate for us? If you’re someone who has built solid experience in the public sector, but you’re now looking for something more whether that be greater variety, better development opportunities, or the chance to work for a spectrum of government clients in a way that will genuinely stretch and develop your skills, this could be the right opportunity.
At Browne Jacobson, we understand the value of your local authority social care background. Your experience, like ours, managing sensitive cases, balancing statutory duties with individual needs, and delivering pragmatic solutions in challenging circumstances is exactly what sets our firm apart.
We know that moving from the public sector into private practice is a significant step, so we’ve designed a role that supports your transition whilst broadening the horizon of your career. You’ll work on a broad spectrum of social care matters with genuine impact for vulnerable individuals and families, receive structured mentoring from partners and benefit from clear progression pathways that reward your ambition and talent.
This isn’t about abandoning the meaningful work you’ve been doing—it’s about enhancing it. You’ll still contribute to cases that support social care and health colleagues and protect those adults at risk, but with greater resources, more complex challenges, and a team that’s invested in your long-term success.
