Responsibilities
- Filing of correspondence and documents
- Collating papers, medical records and x-rays for inclusion in instructions to experts, counsel and witnesses
- Setting up external and internal meetings
- Obtaining dates of availability for conferences and trial
- Obtaining medical records from Trusts, including requesting CD copies of x-rays, tracking down original x-rays, arranging courier deliveries of records and x-rays
- Processing lawyer expenses, booking travel and accommodation
- Sorting and distribution of incoming post
- Co-ordinating medical records, paginating and arranging for copy discs
- Photocopying and scanning
- General archiving and updating file management system
- Data entry and data cleansing
- As the role develops there may be opportunity to assist with file opening and other tasks
