Responsibilities

  • Filing of correspondence and documents
  • Collating papers, medical records and x-rays for inclusion in instructions to experts, counsel and witnesses
  • Setting up external and internal meetings
  • Obtaining dates of availability for conferences and trial
  • Obtaining medical records from Trusts, including requesting CD copies of x-rays, tracking down original x-rays, arranging courier deliveries of records and x-rays
  • Processing lawyer expenses, booking travel and accommodation
  • Sorting and distribution of incoming post
  • Co-ordinating medical records, paginating and arranging for copy discs
  • Photocopying and scanning
  • General archiving and updating file management system
  • Data entry and data cleansing
  • As the role develops there may be opportunity to assist with file opening and other tasks
