Our Barristers team is seeking a Junior Barrister to join as an Associate on a permanent basis. We are a full-service in-house chambers with a presence in offices across the United Kingdom, handling instructions to extend our advocacy practice in Education, Health, Employment, Civil Litigation, Social Care & Family, Environment, Planning and Local Government. We act as counsel on behalf of our clients in high profile, complex and significant court and tribunal matters.

This role is based out of Nottingham or Manchester and offers the opportunity to join an established and successful team of barristers who are vibrant and passionate about the work. Professionally clerked, you will be expected to take on responsibility for your own caseload from the outset but will form part of a team with the necessary supervision, training and support to maximise your potential.

Responsibilities

  • Take on responsibility for your own caseload from the outset with supervision
  • Be part of a team with necessary supervision, training and support to maximise potential
  • You may be involved in supervising work undertaken by assistant advocates and pupil barristers who are available to assist you
  • Conduct day-to-day advocacy before civil and coronial courts, and regulatory, employment and educational tribunals
