We are seeking an Associate to join our esteemed Private Client and Charities team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality legal services specialising in a mix of high net worth private client work, including:

  • Advising on wills and trusts
  • Estate and succession planning
  • Personal tax
  • Probate
  • Powers of attorney

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist advice in private client, trust, and tax planning for our private clients, working closely with our corporate tax and property teams.
  • Offering guidance on wills, trusts, gifts, probate, powers of attorney, and personal tax matters (income, capital gains, and inheritance taxes).
  • Resolving issues in trust law and tax planning, promoting initiatives to this end.

Requirements:

  • Proficient IT and keyboard skills, comfortable with MS Office.
  • Familiarity with both online and library research facilities.
  • Commitment to stay up-to-date with legal developments through reading journals and online updates.
  • Basic level of experience in preparing wills, trusts, and related private client documents.
  • Team players who are highly committed, flexible, ambitious, focused, and results-oriented.
  • Familiarity with IT, particularly Microsoft Office and ideally case management systems.
