We're looking for a talented Release and Environment Manager to govern and coordinate the end-to-end route to live for software deliveries across our IT department.

The role involves taking ownership of a newly created position where you'll bring structure and governance to our software release function. You'll be responsible for coordinating and assuring the full lifecycle of software deliveries, whilst developing a governance framework and consistent processes to ensure stable operating environments and successful releases. Working closely with Development and QA teams, Project Managers, Business Change colleagues, and third parties, you'll be a key enabler of safe and reliable deployments across the business.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating software releases across environments, coordinating with developers, testers, business analysts and product owners to ensure readiness for each release stage.
  • Leading the implementation and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, managing environment configurations, and maintaining clear documentation including release notes, deployment runbooks, and rollback plans.
  • Supporting post-release validation activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of release processes, tooling and governance frameworks, and championing best practice.

What We're Looking For:

  • Demonstrable experience of having successfully undertaken Release Management or Environment Management responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of environment management and configuration – ideally with Power Platform experience.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or a similar platform, including pipelines, repositories and work item tracking, to support automated deployment processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to chair meetings and facilitate go/no-go decisions.
