We are looking for a Practice Assistant to join our Business & Professional Risk team in Birmingham or Nottingham, providing exceptional workflow management and client service support to our fee earners.

As a Practice Assistant, you will act as the single point of contact for fee earners within the Financial and Professional Risk team, taking ownership of all tasks through to completion - whether by carrying these out yourself or by managing workflow through Team Assistants and Shared Services. You will provide a high-quality, comprehensive organisational service to fee earners and deliver exceptional client service at every stage.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Building strong client relationships by becoming an active part of client care — handling queries, taking and making client-related calls, and ensuring all correspondence is dealt with promptly and professionally.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative and financial support, including managing diaries, coordinating travel and meetings, and taking responsibility for the preparation and completion of complex billing to the highest standards of accuracy.
  • Managing priorities and workloads to ensure deadlines are met, maintaining client and matter data within case management systems, and ensuring compliance with firm-wide policies and procedures including Lexcel and Information Security.
