We are seeking an Associate to join our employment law team, providing expert advice and assistance on a wide range of employment matters to our diverse client base. This role offers the opportunity to handle both contentious and non-contentious issues, making it ideal for those who thrive in a varied and challenging legal environment.

About the Role

  • Represent clients in employment tribunals, including Directions Hearings and Preliminary Hearings.
  • Prepare for employment tribunal cases, including drafting claims, responses, discrimination questionnaires, interlocutory applications, witness statements, and skeleton arguments.
  • Provide corporate support, such as advising on TUPE during transactions, drafting due diligence reports, and advising on indemnities and warranties.
  • Draft and advise on employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Offer general advice on disciplinary investigations, grievance procedures, redundancy programs, and rights related to flexible working, maternity, and paternity.
  • Contribute to the marketing and non‐fee‐earning projects of the department, including seminar presentations, training program drafting, updating precedents, and contributing to Employment Bulletins.

Technical Skills Required

  • Proficient IT and keyboard skills, with familiarity in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Strong research skills using both online and library resources.
  • Up‐to‐date knowledge of legal developments, reviewing law reports and journals regularly.
